Hi, my name is Ash (she/they) and I am the creative behind Astral Tripper! I am a Chicana, artist, diviner and practitioner of curanderismo. My passion is exploring the liminality of identity through the intersections of childlike wonder, neurodivergence, generational trauma, and the healing process.

Through a series of events during my Saturn Return, I began a deep initiation into the world of seership and spirit communication. This was a very vulnerable phase in my life where I began to explore my connection to parts of myself I had repressed for a very long time. I pursued mediumship development from the late Rev. Dr. Chuck Murphy, where I learned how to become a clearer channel and develop communication skills with my spiritual court.

This culminated in a homecoming to my maternal family’s roots in curanderismo. Slowly, I began to infuse my own oils, tinctures, cultivate a garden, and distill hydrosols with the purpose of creating practical tools to aid the spiritually sensitive. Learning how to safely perform cleansing rites began a years long process of releasing the shame and stigma I had been carrying surrounding spiritual sensitivity and mental illness. I am currently in year two of mentorship with the curandera Erika Buenaflor.

Over the last decade, I have been honing my skills in astrology, divination, channeled art, mediumship, candle magic, cleansing rites, and creative expressions of the heart. I learned to develop my tarot reading skills through Dee Fells, and after a decade of self-study am currently enrolled in Austin Coppock’s Fundamentals of Astrology program to sharpen my skills.
