About Astral Tripper
Hi, I'm Ash (she/they), the creative behind Astral Tripper. I'm a Chicana artist, diviner, and curandera with a deep love for the in-between places where childlike wonder, generational trauma, neurodivergence, and healing all end up in the same room together.
My Saturn Return cracked me open. It pushed me into a deep initiation into seership and spirit communication. This was a vulnerable, disorienting, and ultimately necessary period where I finally faced the parts of myself I'd been keeping at arm's length for years. This led me to training in mediumship with the late Dr. Chuck Murphy, learning to quiet the noise and deepen my connection to the spirits who had been walking with and guiding me my entire life.
That path led me back to my maternal lineage and the curanderismo traditions that had been waiting for me. I started infusing oils, growing things, distilling hydrosols, really getting my hands into it. What began as making practical tools for spiritually sensitive people became something much more personal, a years-long process of releasing the shame I'd carried around spiritual sensitivity and mental illness for most of my life. As of spring 2026, I completed two years of mentorship with the curandera Erika Buenaflor.
Over the past decade I've been deepening my practice in astrology, divination, channeled art, mediumship, candle magic, and cleansing rites. I developed my tarot skills with Dee Fells and am currently enrolled in Austin Coppock's Fundamentals of Astrology program, because there is always more to learn.

The grounded kind. The kind that reconnects you to yourself rather than disconnecting you from reality.
This path has taught me, often the hard way, that you can't half-heartedly tend to your mind, body, and heart when you're doing this kind of work. When we're not honoring our actual needs we can unintentionally hurt ourselves and the people around us. And that same openness that draws people toward spiritual practice can make them vulnerable to people who genuinely don't have their best interests at heart.
That's why I built this space the way I did. Whether you're a seasoned practitioner or just a little guy taking your first curious steps, what's here is meant to inspire, rewire, and remind you that your creativity is genuinely powerful. It's the most you thing about you.
Real life is surreal.
Honestly, it's kind of a big deal. My practice is rooted in staying connected to reality, not floating above it. That means taking decolonization seriously, not looking away from systems of oppression, and being honest with myself about how I'm managing grief and hard feelings.
I won't tolerate or promote conspiracy theories, spiritual bypassing, racism, transphobia, ableism, or anyone using vulnerability as a door to walk people into extremist ideologies.
